John A. Holton

June 27, 1961 – March 12, 2016

          John “Johnny” Alford Holton, 54, of Louisburg, died Saturday evening.

          Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce May Preddy.

          A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

          Johnny is survived by his father and step-mother, Dean and Faye Holton of Louisburg; sister and brother-in-law, Annette H. and Chip Bright of Wake Forest; brother and sister-in-law, Gil and Debbie Holton of Louisburg; nieces, Brittany Holton Young and husband, Chip; Bethany Holton May and husband, Clark; nephew, Jay Xavier Bright.

          In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Louisburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 667, Louisburg, NC 27549.

          The family will receive friends 6 – 7:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
