Strickland Funeral Home helps give the family the choices that they need, whatever they may be, to say goodbye. We are members of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association. We are a local, family owned, independent funeral home. We specialize in funerals, cremations, memorial services and celebrations of life.

The following descriptions give you a brief explanation of what is included with each of the following choices. We will gladly send you prices for any selections you might choose. We do not include them on the website because you are only charged for individual services you select. The choices are left up to you as a family.

Traditional Funeral

Basic Professional Services, Embalming, Dressing, Casketing and Cosmetology, Visitation at Funeral Home or Church, Funeral Service at Funeral Home or Church, Transfer of Deceased, Funeral Coach/Hearse , Limousine, Service/Utility Vehicle, Register Book, Acknowledgement Cards, and Register Book.

Traditional Funeral with Cremation

Basic Professional Services, Embalming, Visitation at Funeral Home or Church Funeral Service at Funeral Home or Church, Transfer of Deceased to the funeral home, Funeral Coach/Hearse, Limousine, Service/Utility Vehicle, Register Book, Acknowledgement Cards, Register Book, and Solid Oak Rental Casket.

Cremation with Memorial Service

Cremation Fee, Removal of deceased, transfer to the crematory, minimum alternative container which is required by the crematory, filing of all necessary paperwork and authorizations, retrieval of the cremains, & memorial service at Funeral Home, Church or other facility. You may supply your own container provided it meets crematory requirements.

Direct Cremation

Cremation Fee, Removal of deceased, transfer to the crematory, minimum alternative container which is required by the crematory, filing of all necessary paperwork and authorizations, retrieval of the cremains. You may supply your own container provided it meets crematory requirements.

Immediate Burial

Without any attendant rites or ceremony, includes removal of remains and temporary shelter of them, local transportation to the cemetery, services of funeral director and staff and authorizations.

Embalming

It is an ancient process which can be traced back to the Egyptians. Though it is very different in today's modern times it still serves the same purpose. It is for the temporary preservation and disinfection of a decedent.

Cremation

Through a process of intense flame, heat, and vaporization the deceased is reduced to a thin, brittle skeletal remains. These are taken from the retort and placed into a pulverizer which further reduces them to smaller particles known as cremains.

• Laminated obituaries with a color photo of your family member at no charge for immediate family members.
  
• Photos of standing sprays, cut arrangements, and casket spray with numbers on the card which accompany and match the photos which are printed in your register book. This is to assist in writing acknowledgement cards.

• Custom memorial folders.
  
• Home equipment to include, Chairs, register book, register stand, door spray, road signs, chests of ice, coffee urn, as well as coffee, plates, cups and napkins.
