I was so sorry to read that Mr. Benton passed away this week. I graduated from Louisburg College in 1978 before continuing to UNC to finish my degrees. He along with Dr. Wright were my two favorite teachers at Louisburg College. He always gave us essay exams which I loved! He was always so helpful when I had questions regarding assignments. On one occasion I had some questions as to which direction I needed to concentrate for the exam and he invited me to his home for dinner with his wife to help me out. I know the family will greatly miss this great and kind man. Please know that you all are in my prayers and thoughts and you will always have the great memories of him to help comfort you in this time of sorrow.
