Dear Patricia, Angela, Anna, and all my Strickland relatives,
It is so hard to say goodbye to family members
. I remember as children coming back to Mama's people in North Carolina, and watching Bill's excitement, As we came up the long drive, he would run along side the car and talk with all of us as Dad negotiated where to park.
As we got older, the North Carolina and Pennsylvania cousins went their own ways. I was lucky that in the latter years of my career , my work would bring me back to Durham and I could at least keep up with what was going on. Carrie and I continued to talk frequently until she died.
Even though we are all older and dealing with our own health issues, the memory of our younger, more hopeful selves remains. Losing Bill leaves another big hole in our hearts. His pain is over, and he can be again with Carrie, Aunt Elizabeth, and Uncle Berle.
My heart goes out to you all.

Praying for the family that God will bring you peace and comfort in the difficult days ahead. Vernon and I knew Bill from his days of working at Rishel and Hon Furniture companies. He was such a nice person. So sorry for your loss.
