WILLIAM L. MORRISON
October 28, 1939 – July 22, 2023
William Lloyd “Bill” Morrison, 83, of Louisburg, passed away early Saturday morning.
Bill was the son of the late Williams John Morrison and Dorothy Lloyd Morrison. He grew up in Asheville and graduated from Lee Edwards High School. He was the entertainment editor with The News & Observer newspaper in Raleigh and then retired with the Franklin County Public Library. He was a 1961 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a degree in journalism and then served his country in the United States Army.
A graveside service will be held at the Morrison family plot at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville, NC at a later date.
Bill is survived by his life partner, Billy Farmer.
