WILLIAM “BILL” A. SULLIVAN
December 21, 1950 – September 11, 2025
William “Bill” Alfred Sullivan, 74, of Louisburg, passed away early Thursday morning at WakeMed.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Bill was the son of the late Alfred J. Sullivan and Marion Louise Fuerch Sullivan.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sally G. Sullivan; son, Andrew W. Sullivan; grandson, Noah A. Sullivan; sisters Gail Bruce (Michael), and Joanne Meagher (John); brother from another mother Doug Currier; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill lived his life dedicated to working hard, excelling in any task he attempted, and helping others. From his time on the Cross Country team in high school in Clarence, New York, to his work as a HVAC mechanic, he always did his best, learned new skills when needed, and taught others so that they could also be successful.
Bill was passionate about spending time with family, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, and repairing any piece of equipment that needed attention.
He was a lifelong learner and teacher, even during this summer as he studied a manual to fix his backhoe, and taught his grandson how to change the oil and repair the brakes on his car.
Bill’s generous spirit and concern for others will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his name to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, or Saving Grace in Wake Forest. He loved all animals, but especially dogs.
The family will hold a service to celebrate Bill’s life at a later date.
Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg. www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
