TOMMY JOE KING

January 20, 1954 – October 6, 2023

Tommy Joe King, 69, of Zebulon, died at home Friday evening, 6 October 2023.

Joe was born in Burlington, the son of Walter Thomas and Frances Gravitt King.  In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by the love of his life Hannah Medlin King, sister Charity King Giles, and stepson Grant Hawley.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, October 21, 2023, in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home, with Pastor Harry Upchurch officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Kyle L. King; nephews, Sean Willis and wife Keisha of LA, and, Damian Willis of Denver, NC; great nephew Aidan Willis of LA: stepson, Blake Hawley of Zebulon, NC.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
