THYRA MAE BELL

June 25, 1925 – November 5, 2019

LOUISBURG – Thyra Mae Bell, 94, of Louisburg, , died Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Bell was a daughter of the late Doal Bady Price and Julia Alice Mitchell Price. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.B. Bell, Jr. and her great-grandson John Gupton; sisters, Mildred Rayburn, Elsie Perry, Dicie Strother, Alice King and Marlene Maynard; brothers, Bobby Price, Durwood Price, Raeford Price and Luther Price.

Mrs. Bell was a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church. She loved quilting.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Hope Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of her daughter, Faye Gupton, 92 Derek Lee Dr. Louisburg.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughters, Faye Gupton of Louisburg; Brenda Perry (Roy) of Garner; Diane Boyd (Frank) of Butner; Connie Bulloch (Jim) of Garner; sons, Earl Bell (Judy) of Franklinton; Barry Bell of Louisburg; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
