STEPHEN D. WOOD

January 10, 1966 – April 10, 2022

Stephen “Steve” Dwight Wood, 56, of Zebulon, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at Wake Med.

Steve was born in Nash County, on January 10, 1966, he was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wood and his mother, Janice Creech.

Steve has worked for many years at the BP Service and Convenience store in Zebulon where he never met a stranger.  He always had a smile and a kind word whether you were in the store or at the gas pumps. 

Steve is survived by his brothers, Ricky Wood and wife Terry of Wendell, Bobby Keith Wood of Wendell and Corey Wood and wife, Angelia of Erwin, TN; nephew, Chris Wood and niece Kim Jeffreys and husband Jamie.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday at Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday 12:45 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Ricky and Terry Wood, 880 Salem Church Rd., Wendell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
