SAMUEL C. CANNADY
January 14, 1937 – March 10, 2025
Samuel Coatney Cannady, 88, of Kittrell, passed away Monday afternoon surrounded by his family.
Sam was born in Franklin County to the late William H. Cannady, Sr. and Julia S. Cannady. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Cannady and his brother, William H. Cannady, Jr.
Sam was a member of Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was a retired machinist with Athey Corporation and raised cattle.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday March 14, 2025 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
Sam is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Carolyn Cannady of Raleigh; nieces, Susan Cannady, Amanda (Marc) Helton, Lindsey (Celes) Tolentino and Scott (Jennifer) Cannady; great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, 894 Perrys Chapel Church Rd. Franklinton, NC 27252.
