Rudolph G. Bunn, 87, of Zebulon, passed away on Sept. 1 surrounded by his loving family after a period of declining health. He loved his family and living life on the family farm. He enjoyed all sports, hunting, catching and cooking fish, making pork BBQ, gardening, tending his grapevines and making homemade wine that he shared with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Riley and Roxie Watkins Bunn; sisters, Penina Edwards and Stella Johnson; brothers, Walter Bunn, Edwin Bunn, Johnnie Mayes, Troy Mayes, Bertis Bunn and James Bunn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Frances Pearce Bunn; daughter Diana Bunn and son Donnie Bunn.
A graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Bunn family cemetery 8832 Fowler Rd., Zebulon. Entrance will be marked. There will be no visitation other than at the service; he will lie in state at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory in Louisburg, from 12 pm to 5 pm on Friday, Sept. 3, for anyone who wishes to visit.
