ROSLYN C. KEITH
May 27, 1928 – February 24, 2025
Roslyn Carter Keith, 96, of Raleigh, passed away Monday night at Transitions Life Care.
Roslyn was born in Sampson County to the late Eugene and Lollie Caine Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian G. Keith in 1986; sisters, Eleanor Jackson, Eloise Blackburn, Francenia Carter and Merrietta Robinson and Ruth Jernigan; brother, David Carter.
She was a woman of strength and a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a cherished friend to many. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in those she loved.
Roslyn graduated from Rex Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Wake Med. She was also co-owner of Keith’s Grocery.
A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday at Athens Drive Baptist Church where she was a member. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
Roslyn is survived by her daughter, Cindy Keith of Raleigh; sons and daughter-in-law, Al and Karen Keith of Holden Beach; Louis Keith of Raleigh; grandchildren, Missy (Correy) Hammond; Nathan Keith, Gray Keith and Ben (Kelly) Neville; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
