ROLAND H. WEBB, JR.

September 17, 1959 – August 6, 2021

LOUISBURG – Roland Hilton “Shorty” Webb, Jr., 61, of Louisburg, died Friday morning at his home.

Shorty was preceded in death by his father, Tony Webb and his brother, Thomas Neal Webb.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, August 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Shorty is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kathy D. Webb; daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Zach Thompson of Boone; Maggie and Tony Collins of Louisburg; mother, Zelphia Powell; brother, Robert Dale Webb both of Tarboro; grandchildren, Ellie-Kate Collins, Hallie Faye Collins and Calvin Neal Thompson.

Shorty was a very loving and devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He was a valued member of the crane and rigging industry and a positive role model for those fortunate enough to make his acquaintance. He spent 35 years perfecting and teaching his skills and he loved sharing his knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. When he wasn’t working, you could find Shorty spending time with his horses, his girls or his grandkids.  He will be missed dearly by family, friends, and the community.
