RICHARD S. COLBERT

June 28, 1946 – June 27, 2023

Richard Stewart Colbert, 76, of Castalia, passed away Tuesday evening.

Richard was a son of the late John “Jack” and Susie P. Colbert. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Colbert; sister, Edna C. Sutton; brothers, Maurice Colbert, Wallace Colbert and J. W. Colbert.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 30 at Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private.

Richard is survived by his son, Rick Colbert; brothers, Stanley Colbert (Yvonne), and Jerry Colbert (Donna); sisters, Minnie C. Wilson and Evelyn C. Jones; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church at 832 NC Hwy. 58, Castalia, NC 27816.
