Reuben F. Hart, Sr.

Reuben Franklin Hart, Sr., 84, of Zebulon, NC embarked on his heavenly journey Friday, August 5th, 2022.

Reuben's wife, Patty Jean Hart, his parents James G. & Mary R. Hart as well as his brother, James G. Hart, Jr. preceded him in death.

Reuben is survived by his sons, Reuben “Rudy” F. Hart, Jr. and wife, Karen; Rian Hart; his daughters, Pamela Mitchell and Renee Hart; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Born in Bennettsville, SC, Reuben's path went to WV, where he graduated from Bristol High School and proceeded to earn a Batchelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Reuben used his education for highway design, construction of all types, but his passion was coal mining. In 1987 a move to NC brought him back to his roots in highway construction, which he continued until retirement.

Reuben was a generous, kind man and a loving, nurturing husband and father. Known for his sense of humor, he would make the best out of any situation. He always left people with a smile on their face. Always an entertainer, he was a member of the choir & blessed all with many solos throughout the years. Reuben continued to bring joy through song to those around him in his later years.

Reuben's ability to use laughter to make the day brighter will be greatly missed.

Please join us in celebrating his life on August 20th. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:45 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Selma Road, Wendell, NC 27591.
