Ray Lawrence Shearon

November 6, 1940 - June 1, 2021

Ray passed away peacefully on June 1 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice Home in Raleigh. He was retired from Ray’s Refrigeration, was a US Navy veteran and was a lifelong resident of Franklin County.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee; his mother, Dorothy; his daughter, Pam Leonard; his infant daughter, Linda Renee. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Traci Nachtrab; his son-in-law, Calvin Nachtrab; his grandson, Caleb Leonard (Jennifer) of Youngsville; his grandson, Zachary Leonard of Louisburg; his granddaughter, Rachel Nachtrab of Raleigh; his brother Nelson Shearon (Violet) of Louisburg; his brother Steve Shearon (Martha) of New Bern; his brother David Shelton Shearon (Becky) of Knightdale; his sister Alice Norman (Larry) of Spring Hope.

There will be a graveside service at 11am on Friday, June 4 at the Dorsey Family Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations be made in his name to Transitions Life Care Hospice Home, 200 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607.
