PEGGY B. SEYMOUR
July 5, 1932 – September 12, 2025
Peggy Joyce Bullock Seymour, 93, of Youngsville, passed away Friday night.
In life, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She loved and eagerly served her community and church. Peggy was also a charter member of the Bunn Garden Club, which reflected in her beautiful front yard. Peggy didn’t shy away from hard work in her life as a homemaker, a caregiver to many, and even working the tobacco fields. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be especially missed by those who have received a handwritten card or letter from her through the decades.
Peggy was the daughter of the late John Thomas Bullock and Lima Liles Bullock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bennett “Bob” Seymour; brothers, Tommy Bullock, Bobby Bullock, Larry Bullock, and Harry “Shorty” Bullock; and sisters, Marie Ferguson and Rose Robbins.
Peggy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Seymour Lewis and Richard Lewis; grandchildren, Max Lewis and Jake Lewis (Sydney Cromer); brothers, Tony Bullock and Mike Bullock (Debbie); and brother-in-law, Lonnie Robbins; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, at 3:00 PM at Bunn Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in the old Bunn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 – 2:45 PM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Special thanks to Jo Sledge, Delores Manning, Bettie Jeffreys, Mary Mitchell, Pat Polubinsky and the people at Franklin County Adult Day Program for their help.
