Paul "Buddy" Earp, Jr. Obituary

Paul “Buddy” Waylon Earp, Jr. born May 15, 1932 passed away December 30th at his daughter’s home in, Addis, Louisiana, surrounded by family where he had been a resident for the past 4.5 years. Buddy was preceeded in death by his parents Paul and Clyde Earp, his grandmother Emma Munford, his sister Mary Richardson and husband Rex Richardson, his sister Betty Satterfield and husband Curtis Satterfield, his sister Pauline Royal and husband Cedric Royal, his brothers-in-law Willard Price and Bill Pearce.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Central Baptist Church cemetery on Poole Road Tuesday, January 5th at 2:00 p.m.  with Pastor Ed Rose, officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his grandmother, Emma Munford.

Buddy grew up on the farm until he went to work for Peden Steel Company where he completed approximately 20 years of accident free work as an avid welder. He then worked for North Carolina State University for 16 years, before retiring. He enjoyed welding for many people in and around the community and taking care of the lawn, and his many vehicles during his spare time. He leaves countless joyous and fond memories with his daughter and granddaughters as well as being blessed with eight months of laughter together with his great granddaughter. Buddy will be remembered as “Pop Pop” and always loved by many.

Buddy is survived by his daughter Jacquelyne “Jackie” Earp Noble and husband Lucas Noble, his granddaughters Kayla, Kristin, and Kaitlyn Hayslett, and his great granddaughter Scarlett Hayslett. He is also survived by his sisters Emma Raye Price of Dunn and Alice Page Pearce of Raleigh, and his brothers Earl and wife Shirley Earp of Wendell, Johnny and wife Lula Earp of Wendell. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, nine grandfur babies and one great grandfur baby.
