PERCY GRAY MURPHY, JR.

May 22, 1931 – June 4, 2019

LOUISBURG – Percy Gray “P.G.” Murphy, Jr., 88, of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday morning.

P.G. was the son of the late Percy G. and Louise P. Murphy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred M. Bowers and brother, Robert J. Murphy. He was a retired Assistant Resident Engineer with N.C.D.O.T..

A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

P.G. is survived by his loving wife, Sally C. Murphy; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Alisha Murphy of Welcome; Mark and Denise Murphy of Raleigh; grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Katie and Christopher.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 111 Laurel Mill Centerville Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
