NANCY A. LEONARD
March 18, 1947 – December 7, 2024
Nancy Allgood Leonard, 77, of Louisburg passed away on Saturday morning. Nancy was the daughter of the late Charlie and Stella Allgood. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie, “Tommy” Allgood.
After graduating Franklinton high school in 1965, Nancy soon started work as a telephone operator before later settling at the PX on base in Fayetteville NC.
Upon her return to the Louisburg area, Nancy took on a full-time “Aunt” position caring for her great niece and nephew, a job she cherished. Nancy’s free time was spent managing Harris Flea Market, enjoying some games at G 58 bingo or cating around on her blue Cadillac.
Nancy is survived by her sisters, Peggy Allgood Brown of Fort Myers Florida, Linda Allgood Tillman, of Louisburg NC, three nieces and one nephew and many great nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehab, Cardinal hospice, and Meghan Wilson of Franklin County department social services for being so kind to Nancy in her last days.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Plank Chapel United Methodist Church, 3047 Bobbitt Road Kittrell, NC 27544.
