NANCY B. SANDERS

Nancy Bass Sanders, 76, of Knightdale passed away peacefully at home, Friday evening, January 24, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 5, 1948, the daughter of the late Elijah and Virginia Bunn Bass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, George Bass, older brother Charles Bass and her sweet 18 year old dog, Mollie.

Nancy loved serving the Lord and talking about Jesus was her priority in life. She was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and loved her family with all her heart. She was known for her delicious hummingbird cakes, hot dog chili and her famous sausage loaf.  She always made Christmas morning special for her family.  She loved the mountains, going on cruises and making wonderful memories with her family.

Nancy was a retired secretary, having worked for State Capital Insurance Company, and Lancer Insurance Company.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at East Wake Church of God, 2709 NC 97, Wendell.  Visitation will be prior to the service 1:00 – 1:45 pm at the church.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald Sanders; daughter, Susan Sanders; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Gina Sanders all of Knightdale; her grand dogs, Winston, Millie and River; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
