MILLARD M. DRIVER

Oct. 10, 1937 – Sept. 8, 2019

ZEBULON – Millard “Todd” McCoy Driver, 81, of the Pilot Community, died Sunday.  He was born in Franklin County, a son of the late Tyree Driver and Nettie Lewis Driver.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Travis and Grady Driver.

He was raised on a farm and learned how to work hard as a young boy.  Those strong work ethics continued as he worked with the Administration of Courts with the State of North Carolina, retiring after 30 years of service.  Millard was a loving husband to his wife Evelyn, who was later diagnosed with cancer after his retirement.  He was always faithful in taking her to all her treatments and appointments.  In the last few years as Millard’s heath declined, Evelyn was always there by his side to take care of his every needs making sure to keep them at home together.  They were private and dedicated to one another, but would do anything they could to help someone else.

A graveside funeral service will be held 3 pm Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Alford, Bunn, Upchurch Cemetery with Dr. Don Cashwell officiating.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Evelyn Denton Driver; nephews, Rodney Driver (Carol) and Greg Driver.
