Michael E. Walston

 Michael Eugene Walston, 46, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.  He was born in Wake County, a son of the late AJ Walston that preceded him in death as well as paternal grandparents, Mildred & Ruth Walston; maternal grandparents, Marshal & Clara Williford; and his loving pets Brutus and Bruizer.

     He graduated from Southern Nash High School in 1994. He worked at Barnhill Contracting Office in Rocky Mount for almost 3 years.  Prior to that he was at ST Wooten in Wilson for approximately 20 years.

     Michael never met a stranger; he had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar.  He was a hard worker and a great mechanic.  He loved to ride his motorcycle to the beach and mountains.

     A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Middlesex Baptist Church Family Life Center.  Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.  The family will receive friends 10:00 until 10:45 prior to the service Wednesday, at Middlesex Baptist Church Family Life Center.

     He is survived by his wife, Maggie Boone Cope; son, Michael Dylan Walston of Texas; stepsons, Jeremy Cope and Jacob Cope of Zebulon; daughter, Amber Walston of Pine Level; granddaughter, Adaliegh Lawhon; mother, Betty W. Walston of Middlesex; sister, Melissa W. Parrish of Middlesex; brother, Greg Walston of Wendell; special nephew, Stephen Parrish of Nashville; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
