Mary Hudson Tondee

Mary Hudson Tondee, 94, of Bunn, passed away Thursday morning, September 28, 2023. 

A native of Lawrence County, Georgia, she was the daughter of Paul and Effie Flanders Hudson and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wendell Tondee and two sons David Tondee and Philip Tondee. Mary is survived by her son, Mark W. Tondee (Rhonda); grandchildren, Jeremy Tondee, David Tondee, Priscilla Johnson, Matthew Tondee, Steven Tondee, Jonathan Tondee and Cassandra Liles as well as nine great grandchildren.

The life of Mary Tondee was dedicated to the service of the Lord and others. Even as a young child she and her sister sang special music in the church. Mary spent a lifetime as both a church pianist and Sunday School teacher. She faithfully communicated her faith to all her family. Many have testified of her compassion and encouragement that helped sustain them in difficult times. All who knew her would agree that she did shine as a ray of hope.

A memorial service will held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist. 394 Ferrells Bridge Road Louisburg
