Marcia Horton Jordan, 78, of Cape Carteret passed away suddenly Saturday night, August 21, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem due to a fall.
Marcia was born on September 22, 1942 to the late Dr. William Horton and Annie Mae Horton of Windsor, Connecticut. She was an active member of Cape Carteret Baptist Church. Mrs. Jordan was a practicing Real Estate Broker up until the time of her death. Marcia was a light to all she encountered. She was kind, caring soul and devoted wife and mother who always treated everyone like family.
Preceding her in death other than her father and mother are her sons, Robert Mulwee and Beau Watkins; her sister, Jane Cantlin and her brother, Will Horton and her maternal grandmother, Ruby ( Mama Ruby) Fowler.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Maddrey Jordan of Cape Carteret, her son, William Mulwee , her daughters, Amy Jordan Setzer of Wendell and Anne Jordan Edmundson and her husband Robert of Raleigh, and her grandchildren Jordan Setzer, Caroline Edmundson, Meredith Edmundson and Robert Edmundson, her sister Barbara O’Conner and her husband Rick of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Caroline, Meredith, Robert and Jordan.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3 pm Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Cape Carteret Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Clubb officiating
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Marcia to the Baptist Children’s Home, 111 Sneed Dr., Clyde, NC 28721.
