Obituary
Lucille Jeffreys Perry, 93, of Bunn, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 8, 2023, after a long illness.
Lucille was a godly woman. In her early years she traveled with her evangelist husband John Allen Winstead, spreading the gospel. Later, together they established a church in Bunn, which was active until his death. Lucille was a devoted Christian, and her Bible was always by her side.
Lucille is survived by her brother Donald Jeffreys (Rachel), of Bunn, sister-in-Law, Melanie Jeffreys, and brother-in-law Wayne Hagwood of Louisburg. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Jeffreys and Seddie Perkerson Jeffreys, husbands John Allen Winstead and Gene Newell; sisters Willie Mae Fuller, Inez Mullen Crater, Ernestine Hagwood, and brother Jimmy Jeffreys.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 11,2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Bunn Memorial Gardens following the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Calvary Baptist Tabernacle 394 Ferrells Bridge Road, Louisburg.
