October 17, 1927 – July 6, 2020

ZEBULON – Lorena “Dinkey” Wyvette Mullen Powell, 92, died Monday morning at her home.

Dinkey was the daughter of the late Lonnie Derrick Mullen and Luna Estelle Beddingfield Mullen.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy H. Cooper and Donald D. Powell; son, Wayne Cooper and brother, Franklin Mullen.

Dinkey was born in Franklin County and was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son Jackie Cooper; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Joanne Mullen; sister-in-law, Sara Mullen; step-daughter, Peggy Johnson; step-son, Doug Powell; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Dinkey will lie in state at the funeral home from 2:30 to 5:00 pm on Wednesday.for people to pay their respects.
