LONNIE MORRIS ROBBINS
August 26, 1941 – October 16, 2025
Lonnie Morris Robbins, 84, of Louisburg, passed away at WakeMed on Thursday morning.
Lonnie was born on August 26, 1941 to the late Lonnie Tanger Robbins and Felcie Cash Robbins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose B. Robbins; sister Betty Sue Robbins; and brothers Garland Robbins and Larry Robbins.
Lonnie spent his early childhood on a tobacco farm with his brothers Garland and Larry, and sister Betty Sue. They all attended Harris School just one mile from their home, and literally walked uphill both ways to school. Lonnie later attended Bunn High School where he was on the basketball team, and met his wife Rose. They were married for 64 years. Lonnie took a job with UPS, a position he held for 30 years.
A funeral service will be held at New Hope Christian Church on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
Lonnie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kim Robbins of Louisburg.
