Lumas Odell Pearce, 94, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning.
A native of Franklin County, Odell was the son of Lumas “Fab” Pearce and Minta Perry Pearce. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Pearce and Shelton Pearce and a great granddaughter, Emma Brekken.
Odell is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jacqueline Sellars Pearce; son, Mike Pearce (Sharon) of Garner; daughter, Vickie Ball (Buster); brothers, Pete Pearce (Vann) of Bunn, James Pearce (Becky) of Raleigh, Wilbur Pearce (Carolyn) of Youngsville, Bobby Pearce (Ann) of Rolesville, Russell “Hambone” Pearce of Bunn; grandchildren, Brian Ball, Brett Pearce, Danielle Bowman, Michelle Brekken, Melinda Hodge and his great grandchildren, Landon Ball and Rylan Ball.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Bunn Cemetery, NC 98, Bunn, North Carolina. Mr. Pearce will lie in repose from 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home
