KENNETH RUPERT STRICKLAND

December 5, 1937 – May 8, 2024

Kenneth Rupert Strickland, 86, of Zebulon, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the State Employees Credit Union Hospice in Smithfield.

Kenneth was the son of the late Joseph Randolph Strickland, Sr. and Grace Wright Strickland. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Strickland and J. R. Strickland.

For 35 years, Kenneth worked at Winn-Dixie where he became Assistant Manager, where he became well-known and loved by those in his community.

Per his wishes, there will not be a formal service held at this time.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye S. Strickland; daughters Teresa O’Neal of Kenly, and Karen Phillips and husband Danny of Zebulon; son Scott Strickland of Bailey; brother Charles Strickland; sisters Susie Evans (Al), Ann Bell, and Becky Uzzle; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
