KANNIE LEE PERRY

April 18, 1932 – May 5, 2026

Kannie Lee Horton Perry, 94, of Bunn, NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

           Kannie was born on April 18, 1932, the daughter of Willie Horton and Vivian Adcock Horton. She grew up in Franklin County, moving to the heart of Bunn in 1971, where she cleaned houses and lived for the remainder of her life. Kannie was well-known in her community for her infectious laugh, her biting candor, and her tenacious work ethic. She was nothing if not honest, and if her opinion stung, that was just Kannie; it meant she thought something of you.

Preceding Kannie in death are her parents, Willie and Vivian Horton; brother Pete Horton; and sisters, Laura Perry and Barbara Massey.

          Remaining to fondly remember Kannie are her sons James Perry and Jessie Perry (Marsha) of the home; siblings Jewel Mullen, Faye Cash, Freddie Horton (Jane), and Milton Horton (Connie); brother-in-law Garry Massey; and long-time neighbor and friend, Mike Lovin.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, May 8th at Bunn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Massey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
