JUDY J. STRICKLAND

October 26, 1947 – August 28, 2024

LOUISBURG – Judy Young Johnson Strickland, 76, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening.    

Judy was the daughter of the late Dykes and Estelle Horton Young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Strickland.

Judy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Kelli Johnson; Brad and Katie Johnson; step-son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Jo Ann Strickland; step-daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Mike Cossin; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Marie Young; grandchildren, Haley Effingham, Damian Johnson, Madison Johnson, Carlie Johnson, Matthew Strickland, Brookelyn Johnson and Jack Cossin; great-grandchildren, Jennsyn and Emmie; special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 10 – 11 am Saturday, August 31, 2024 with a memorial service to follow at 11 am at Hill King United Methodist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, U.M.W. Fund, 1989 NC Hwy. 39 S. Louisburg, NC 27549.
