JOHNNY M. PHELPS

LOUISBURG – Johnny McKinley Phelps, 72, of Louisburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 22, 2023 at WakeMed.

Johnny was the son of the late Lucius Phelps and Bertha Shearin Moore. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen Bartholomew Phelps; son, Timmy Phelps; great-granddaughter, Tenley Phelps; and step-father Charlie Moore.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Duke Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnny is survived his daughter, Heather Phelps (John Boydston); grandchildren, Ethan Wrenn and fiancée, Maddie Pippin, Nadia Wood and husband, Jacob, Nickie Brown and husband, Phillip, Trevor Phelps and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Willow Wood, Easton Wood, Mason Brown, Tolston Phelps, and Trenton Phelps; brother, Charles Phelps.
