JOSEPH J. RANSDELL, JR.

November 20, 1953 – January 26, 2021

LOUISBURG - Joseph John Ransdell Jr., age 67, of Louisburg, NC passed Wednesday, January 26th 2021 in his sleep and at peace.

          He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Loree Ransdell, his sister, Connie Ransdell, and his niece, Kem Collier.

          Joe is survived by his wife, Pamela Ransdell; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Ransdell; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Russell Dickerson and half-brother, Dan Parrish; his nephews, Matthew and wife, Leah Ransdell; Garrett and Kristen Ransdell; great-nephew, Rhys Ransdell.

          A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday January 30th 2021 at Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required.

          Joe was not a stranger to hard work and grew up helping his father (John) farm before taking over the family farming business himself after getting out of school. In his younger years he was an avid baseball fan playing softball on his Church community team and going to softball games played on local fields. If he wasn’t working or relaxing at home, he was sure to be on one of his many motorcycles that he enjoyed riding through the backroads or into the city. His wife Pam was always at his side in all things both work related and leisure and they were very rarely ever seen apart in their 50 years of marriage. He will be missed greatly by his family but he lives on through those that he left behind.
