Jimmy Warren Lewis

December 13, 1947 – October 23, 2023

WENDELL – Jimmy Warren Lewis, 75, of Wendell, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 23, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Jimmy was born in Wake County on December 13, 1947, to the late Woodrow Franklin Lewis and Blanche Ophelia Long Lewis. 

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Brenda A. Lewis; daughters Sandy Sedi and husband Chuck of Zebulon, Jennifer Kennedy, and husband Mike of Benson; Brothers Woody Lewis and wife Hope of Zebulon; and sisters Marie Shuman of Youngsville, and Lynn Faison and husband George of Shallotte.          

Jimmy worked as a machinist for 25years at the Measurements Group. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and enjoyed traveling with his family. He also enjoyed karaoke and had a love for music.  Jimmy went snow skiing for the first time and his red toboggin flew off his head and was never to be found.         

Funeral service will be held at Baptist Tabernacle Church in Wendell on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 to 2:45 in the Family Ministry Center. Burial will follow the service at Central Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Jimmy’s name to the Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, 13400 Old Creedmoor Road Wake Forest, NC 27587.
