JAY THOMAS MANTYCH
June 22, 1973 – May 5, 2024
Jay Thomas Mantych, 50, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. He was born June 22, 1973 in Wake County to the late Eugene Herbert Mantych, Jr. and Sandra Raybon. Jay was a self-employed electrician who enjoyed a game of golf, riding rollercoasters, and watching cartoons with his children. Jay’s adventurous personality led him to recently take up hiking and completing his pilot’s license. He was a sports car enthusiast, the biggest N.C. State fan and loved a good box of Little Debbies.
He is survived by his beloved children Alyssa McAuliff (Cameron) of Spring Hope, and Aidan Mantych; their mother Glenda Mantych of Zebulon; his mother Sandra Driver (Charles); sister Leigh Murray (Wayne); nephew Jake Murray; niece Lauren Murray of Wendell; and grandson Cameron McAuliff Jr. of Spring Hope.
A graveside service will be held at Greenmount Cemetery on Saturday, May 11 at 11 am.
