JANIE YOUNG SATTERWHITE
November 25, 1937 – August 14, 2024

Janie Marie Young Satterwhite, 86, of Louisburg, passed away Wednesday afternoon at her home.

Janie was the daughter of the late Jim Thomas Young and Nora Cash Young. She was preceded in death by her brothers Dykes Young, Albert Young, Ellis Young, and Jimmie Young; sisters Linzy
Burnette, Edith Pippin, and Kay Alford; and grandson, Daniel Satterwhite.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Satterwhite; daughter, Kim Privette and husband Joe, of Wendell; sons, Jamie Mark Satterwhite and wife Linda of Sunnyvale, CA, and Kenneth Satterwhite and wife Sherri of Apex; grandchildren Andrew Satterwhite, Brian Satterwhite, Claire Satterwhite, Nathan Satterwhite, Joshua Privette, Alissa Privette, Philip Satterwhite, and Piper Satterwhite; and great-granddaughter, Claire Marie Stratus. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. A private graveside will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
