JANET H. MAY
May 28, 1933 – October 1, 2021
LOUISBURG – Janet Hunt May, 88, of Louisburg, died Friday morning. Janet was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mae M. Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas May; brother, Ernest Hunt, Jr and her sister, Alice Harris.
Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a pillar of support for her family her entire life. The family always heeded her advice. She was a wonderful homemaker and her chocolate cakes were in great demand at the Hill King U.M.C. auction sales each year.
Most important, she loved God and lived a life that was a good example to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held 11 am Monday at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Ellen May; daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Joe Cooper; grandson, Chris May; sister, Jane Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.
