JAMES A. THARRINGTON

June 8, 1932 – June 3, 2023

CASTALIA – James Arch Tharrington, 90, of the Red Bud Community, died Saturday afternoon at his home.  

James was the son of the late Furney and Ethel Pierce Tharrington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne G. Tharrington; sisters, Lila Ezzell, Beatrice Marshall and Eloise Richardson.

James was a retired farmer and after he retired he worked at L.H. Dickens and Son for 23 years.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Red Bud Baptist Church Cemetery.

James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ralph Powell; sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Candy Tharrington; Tim and Angie Tharrington all of the Red Bud Community; granddaughter, Brooke and Isaac Snyder of Thomasville; great-grandson, Christian James Snyder; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, 832 NC Hwy. 58 Castalia, NC 27816.
