Herman (Reggie) Tharrington, Jr., 84, of Vienna, Virginia, died Thursday at his home.

Herman was a son of the late Herman and Alice Bell Tharrington. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gaynelle T. Cartwright.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow in Bunn Memorial Gardens.

Herman is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol D. Tharrington; daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Tom Mielke of Vienna, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Deborah Tharrington of Bunn; brother and sister-in-law, William and Lois Tharrington of Summerfield; grandchildren, Courtnie, Brandon, Emma, Grace and Molly; many nieces and nephews.
