H. MACON JONES

April 6, 1947 – February 22, 2019

WARRENTON – Hugh Macon Jones, 71, of Warrenton, died Friday morning.

Macon was a son of the late Weldon Ezra and Elsie Mae Burnette Jones. He was preceded in death by his son, Laverne Jones and infant daughter, Melissa Jones; brothers, Dick Jones, Charles Jones, Bud Jones and Tom Cat Jones.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Wood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery.

Macon is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Evelyn C. Jones; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Jones Neville and James Neville of Rocky Mount; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Sherhonda Jones of Warrenton; grandchildren, Elaina Jones and Oliver Neville; sisters and brothers in-law, Margaret and Henry Nelms of Louisburg; Linda and Jerry Murphy of Castalia; Frances Jones of Louisburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, W.E. and Phyllis Jones, Jr. of Louisburg; Rufus Jones of Red Oak; Pete Jones of Louisburg; Scott and Cindy Jones of Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses, 120 Hugh Jones Rd. Warrenton, NC 27589.
