GREGORY D. FOSTER
Gregory Douglas Foster, 59, of Louisburg, North Carolina, passed away on December 30, 2025. Born and raised in Louisburg, Greg lived his entire life rooted in family, hard work, and love.
Greg began his early career in logging alongside his father, Ben Foster, before helping build the family vineyard. He had a passion for loud music and was always upgrading his speakers to make it just a little louder. He loved family vacations and was the biggest kid at Christmas time, bringing excitement, laughter, and joy to everyone around him. More than anything, Greg was devoted to his family. He was kind-hearted, always willing to help others, and had a sense of humor that was truly unmatched.
Greg is preceded in death by his father, Ben Foster. He is survived by his children Michael, Gennah, Brett (Daniel), and Chessie (Josh); his mother Hazel Foster; his sister Sheila Perkins(David); his grandchildren Jace, Eleanor, Vivian, and Josey; his nephews Brien Perkins(Kelly) and Robert Perkins(Megan); his great nephews Foster Perkins, Lawson Perkins, great niece June Perkins; and many aunts and cousins, all who loved him dearly. His family, whom he loved so deeply, will forever hold his memory close.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, followed by a service at 3:00 PM, both at Strickland Funeral Home 103 W Franklin St, Louisburg, NC. There will be a private burial for the family.
Greg will be remembered for his humor, his generous heart, and the joy he brought to the people who knew him.
