GRADY MARSHBURN

May 30, 1948 – July 27, 2023

Grady Marshburn, 75, of Knightdale, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday afternoon surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He was born in Wake County, a son of the late Wilbur Grady Marshburn and Annie Terry Marshburn. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Cone Marshburn on March 6, 2022.  Grady was a 1966 graduate of Enloe High School and was a retired computer programmer with IBM.

He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Grady always put his family first and would do without making sure they were taken care of.  He loved his family more than anything and held the Marshburn name in highest regard.

He is survived by his children, Grady Marshburn, Jr. and wife Susan of Spring Hope, Tammy M. Poole and husband Greg of Knightdale and Keith Marshburn and wife Jennifer of Knightdale; grandchildren, Kayla Marshburn, Candi M. Brastow and husband Tennant, Casey Poole, Trevor Poole, Tyler Poole, Luke Marshburn and Wyatt Marshburn; great-granddaughter, Cora Jane Brastow; brother, Tommy Marshburn, and wife Vickie of Swansboro.

A private entombment will be held in the Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
