GARY D. VARNER
Gary Dean Varner, 75, of Louisburg, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at his home.
Gary was born July 29, 1949, in Davidson County the son of the late William Raeford Varner and the late Eva Russell Varner. He was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver and loved NASCAR, fishing and going to the beach.
Gary is survived by his wife, Sheryl Varner; daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Robert Rugg; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Misty Varner; brothers, Neil Varner and wife Susie; Randy Varner and Timmy Varner; sisters, Bonnie Varner; Robin Stroud and husband Larry; Donna Davis and Kelly Kettison; grandchildren, Chaney Varner, Ivey Gilley and husband, Sloan Gilley; Heather Moorefield and husband, Justin Moorefield; Mollie Rugg; 4 great great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
