FAYE FERN CHAMBLEE

LOUISBURG – Faye Fern “Boda” Chamblee, 89, went home to be with the LORD early Friday morning surrounded by her family. She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Claude and Clellie Denton Chamblee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Bruce, Willie Grey and Charlie Chamblee. Her favorite saying was “I never gave birth to a child, but I always had a house full.”
A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Monday at New Hope Christian Church with burial to follow in the Chamblee Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her brother, Bobby Chamblee; sisters, Annie Chamblee, Clara Chamblee, Jean Watkins and husband, Charles, Margaret Faulkner and husband, Douglas, Claudette Marshall and husband, Heavy, Dorothy Kaleel and husband, William, and Teresa Fowler; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends 4:30 – 6:00 pm Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of William and Dorothy Kaleel, 16 William Way, Louisburg, NC.
