February 5, 1938 – February 25, 2021

LOUISBURG – Evelyn Lester Howell, 83, of Louisburg, died Thursday morning.

Evelyn was a daughter of the late Fred and Geneva D. Lester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Howell; sister, Carolyn Homes; brothers, Fred Lester, Jr and Ronald Lester.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Paul Butler of Franklinton; Kay Farley of Louisburg; sisters, Frances Gilliam of Richmond, VA; Patricia Pendergrass of Nashville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Jo Lester of Raleigh; Chris and Vicki Lester of Louisburg; grandchildren, Jacob Butler, Heather Johnson and husband, Shawn, Zachary Farley and fiancé, Megan Bunn, Justin Farley; great- grandson, Jaxson Farley.
