ESTEEN BELL GRIFFIN

Nov. 14, 1920 – Nov. 15, 2020

Esteen Bell Griffin, 100 of Raleigh, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, November 15, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Baker Bell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac A. Griffin, Sr.; two sisters: Elieen Goswick and Evelyn Perry and four brothers: Cleveland, Donnie, Finner and Billy.

          Esteen was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Raleigh for 26 years.  She later moved and became a member of Longview Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for the past 12 years.  She loved her church and especially her Sunday School Class members who were so faithful in visiting her during the past few years.

Esteen is survived by two very special nephews: Ronnie Goswick and wife, Lisa and Kenny Goswick and a special niece, Betty Jo Goswick in addition to several nieces and nephews, and many friends.  She was loved by all who knew her.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 2 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh with Dr. Randy McKinney officiating.

          Mrs. Griffin will lie in state at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm for those wishing to sign the register and pay their respects.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Longview Baptist Church, 2308 N.  New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
