EMMA JEAN B. STRICKLAND
February 26, 1935 – December 5, 2025
Louisburg - Emma Jean Bullock Strickland, 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, early Friday morning.
She was born in Franklin County to the late Ned Cecil and Gertrude Hinnant Bullock.
After retiring from the USDA, she enjoyed working part-time as a florist and spending time with her granddaughter, Britney. Emma Jean had a love for Orchids and Day lilies. Watching her son Brent become a leader, as a farmer and taking on agricultural roles in the community, while serving our Lord with his gift of singing, brought her the most joy. She loves her 2 precious granddaughters, Elle Kate and Ava and enjoyed spending the holidays together. She was a past member of New Hope Christian Church and a current member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church where she had served each in various capacities and had an equal love for both churches.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Cecil Bullock her husband, Cecil A. Strickland, brother-in-law, Seba C Strickland and beloved sister Phyllis B Jeffreys.
Emma Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Cynthia Strickland of Louisburg; brother-in-law, Delmas Jeffreys of Zebulon; granddaughter, Britney Strickland; great-granddaughters, Ellie-Kate and Ava; nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in Emma Jean's memory to Poplar Spring Baptist Church 89 Brantleytown Rd. Zebulon, NC 27597 or to New Hope Christian Church 2779 NC-98 W., Louisburg, NC 27549.
