WILLOW SPRING – Ellen Roseline Stone Brown, 88, of Willow Spring, passed away Saturday morning surrounded by her family.

Ellen was a daughter of the late Woodson Lyon Stone and Lessie Mae Walker Stone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frannie Brown; and siblings Vester Stone, Margaret Carrol, Irene McDonald, Helen Rankin, Woodson Stone, Jr., “Big Doc” Stone, Marie McCann, and Louise Hunt.

A Celebration of Life service for Ellen will be held at a later date.

Ellen is survived by her children Patricia Trevathan (Jon Kirby) of Garner, Dale Dunn (Yvette) of Middlesex, Elina Rowlett (Charles Alford) of Willow Spring, Heidi Long (Ricky Perry) of Nashville, and Vanessa Vollmer (Russ) of Bunn; brother “Little Doc” Stone of Roxboro; grandchildren Tiffoney Hayes, Kris Hayes, Amber Dunn, Dakota Dunn, Jessica Simons, Hailey Hood, Hunter Hood, Christian Johnson, and Faith Worthington; 12 great-grandchildren , and numerous great great-grandchildren.
