Elaine Cole (Vaughan) Smith

HENDERSON - Elaine Cole Vaughan Smith, 65, of Henderson, passed away on Friday afternoon.

Elaine was a daughter of the late Douglas Davis Vaughan and Mary Helen Harrison. She retired from First Citizens Bank where she worked as a loan officer. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling. She spent a lot of time crocheting, and would make scarves, hats, and other gifts for her family and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Gupton Family Cemetery in Louisburg. The family will receive friends following the service.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Sherhonda Jones and her husband, Chris of Warrenton; her son Brian Gupton of Louisburg; and her granddaughter Elaina Jones.
